“We have a really great team this season. Everyone’s so friendly and really fun to play with," says middle school soccer player Haley Batchelor. As of April 2023, the team has a record of 4-4 (update)

Although the MS girls' soccer team lost their game against TMSA (Triangle Math and Science Academy) on April 26th, Batchelor says her coach believes the girls are playing their best now. “We played the full 90 minutes with lots of aggression and intensity. We pushed really hard and played as well as we could."

Throughout the season, the seventh grader has learned to play new positions. The team is also working on coming together as a cohesive team. “I’ve also learned how to count on my teammates and trust them,” she says.

Haley Batchelor believes that they could still improve on keeping their heads up and not stabbing at the ball. “I’ve had a lot of fun playing with all my friends and building relationships with the team. The team is really great and we’re all very supportive of each other.”
